Let’s just say Biggie, Diddy and the historical record tells us: “Mo Money, Mo Problems.” Looking at atrocities like the Tulsa Massacre of 1921 that left over 300 Black people dead, and countless financially thriving African-Americans penniless, on this episode we examine how white supremacy coupled with willful ignorance continues to widen the highly unequal wealth gap.
We went and we saw, and you should know -- more than a legend, Tulsa’s Black Wall Street is a collection of stories of Black Americans who at one point exemplified the best possible outcomes of American dreams. What happened? What's next?
